The internet is a confusing place. I was looking for news stories about Mr Blobby, then I somehow fell down an INSANE rabbit-hole so that when my wife came in and asked what I'm doing because I'm supposed to be getting ready, I said to her the following..................
I'm trying to verify that the man who holds the record for inserting most creme eggs into his anus was eaten by a crocodile.
I hate the internet.
(It's 9!)
Edit - I don't know if they were wrapped or unwrapped and I don't know if he was eaten by a crocodile as the Daily Sport asserts in their article.
I hate being told to "shop around". What I want is for the default option to be a good one.
On this point, Cory Doctorow @pluralistic spells out why Google is so awful and why even DuckDuckGo isn't a real alternative.

LinkedIn was down. A lot of people were panicking.
But rather than panic, I saw an #opportunity.
Using all of my strength I ran to the nearest LinkedIn datacenter. I was able to gain access because I made a #personal #connection with the security guard. I actually invested in their ceramics business while I was talking to them.
Once I’d gained access to the servers I was able to deploy a fix I’d written using ChatGPT #AI #genAI.
I fixed LinkedIn, and walked out of the datacenter where everyone was applauding.
I say this not to brag or show off, but to share a story of how you have to show #leadership in the moment, and step up when you can. The CEO of LinkedIn called me that night to thank me. #influencer #hustle #horseownership

“Nice people made the best Nazis. My mom grew up next to them. They got along, refused to make waves, looked the other way when things got ugly and focused on happier things than “politics.” They were lovely people who turned their heads as their neighbors were dragged away. You know who weren’t nice people? Resisters.”
