Hello, new instance!!

Quick #introduction, I'm izzy, previously at @izzy, but couldn't resist the pull of this wondrous gaming-focused instance. 😄

I've been a #dataAnalyst in #gameDev for... three? years now, both in #indie and #AAA on a long-running franchise.

Love the job and play tons of #videoGames (obv). Currently mostly #RocketLeague, re-playing Assassin's Creed (the OG), and #GenshinImpact.

I love #gardening, #SUPing, and e-biking in any season that's not winter.

HI ALL 👋

So today we're bragging about updates to Edmonton's bike network, which don't actually include updates to Edmonton's bike network...

Canada invests in expanding Edmonton’s active transportation network

Today, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance and Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre, and Councillor Anne Stevenson, O-day’min Ward Councillor, on behalf of His Worship Amarjeet Sohi, Mayor of the City of Edmonton, announced a joint investment of more than $30.7 million to upgrade and expand Edmonton’s active transportation infrastructure.

@dirklancer @IPEdmonton

mstdn.ca seems to be run by good people, and would be a good choice.

Not sure if it's for you, but I also run a small instance at yeg.bike.

(And even if it's not for you, feel free to spread the word to the bikey folks you know who might be interested).

BTW, haven't said it yet, but glad to see you getting more active here, @dirklancer!

Haven't been by the shop lately, but will have to make a trip over again soon.

Hey Mastodonians. I really want to start posting here more, but I've hit a breaking point with apps.

I sat down last weekend and made a list of everything that I need a user ID/pw for and stopped writing at 75 apps that I use on the regular (if not daily, at least monthly).

I'm working on #FinishShit2023, which includes evaluating apps I use and where I put important stuff. In the end, I will probably be here more, but maybe not, maybe I will be in very few places, we'll see.

Anyway, scones.

The 100 Ave #yegBike lane between 103 and 104 Streets is open again, woo!
@Kellyshenanigans I've been pitching a replacement slogan to "City of Champions" for a while now: "Just get in your damn car already!"
In related news, any #yegbike cargo bikers interested in a group trip to IKEA some weekend soon? I'm thinking south on 106St then making sure my will is up to date. I have a few things to say on YouTube that can be seen in South Edmonton Common.
“I need a car in case I need to stop and pick up groceries on the way home on the school pickup run.”
