A few years ago now but this photo always reminds me of the extreme harshness of the Kamchatka mountains.
We were there to ski tour and summit Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4754m) but the -30C+ temps and 100km/hr winds made life very difficult. Of course, we didn't summit, not even close, but a great experience nevertheless.
Clearing skies this morning after rain bring beautiful views over to the clouded slopes and hills above Izbor and the Lecrin valley. Town shown is Lanjarón.
