Your city should be built for you, not cars. #ottbike
Here's the file if anyone wants to print it for themselves! (Note: It's legal-sized paper)
That’s Better!

Apparent result of the crash that almost had a car plow into my neighbours home:

Thanks @ottawacity for somehow figuring out how to do less than the minimum!

#Ottawa needs proper traffic calming — not signs, finger crossing, then the inevitable thoughts and prayers.

Just did the ‘impossible’! Quick grocery run by #ottbike — in a suburb — in the winter! 😱

All of this fit in the milk crate except for the eggs, put those in the empty pannier so the potholes wouldn’t crack them… front basket unused, I wonder how much more I could carry? 🧐

Great things are happening in #Toronto. This is a “before-and-after” of a beautiful streetscape transformation by Hullmark on Ossington.

People grumbling that #Mastodon is slow at the moment... You just turned up with 1 million people in a tiny, rural village and you're complaining there's a queue to get into the only tearoom, which is run by gay pensioners Babs & Maureen as a retirement hobby on Mons-Weds. Relax!
#TwitterMigration

This Twitter fiasco is a reminder of who is *actually* critical to the survival of our economy & society.

Twitter worked before the billionaire got here. Now that workers are gone, Twitter is collapsing. Workers made Twitter work—a billionaire broke it.

Workers > Billionaires

In 2007 Ljubljana's mayor moved to make the city center car-free.

Since then:
- Driving share of city trips ⬇️ from 58% to 39%
- Walking share of trips ⬆️ from 19% to 35%
- Air pollution ⬇️ 70%

Now 97% of residents want city center to remain car-free

People protested when this capital city went car-free. Now they love it

For many cities, going car-free still feels like a distant pipe dream - but in Ljubljana, it's been a reality for more than a decade

The Big Issue
Ever wonder why those #bicycles keep getting in the way...
I am one hundred percent certain that people would be driving down this sidewalk on the regular if those rocks weren't there. The cut-through potential is high and I've seen a lot of drivers edge up like they're thinking about it. Physical protection is the only protection.
