Anybody have ideas why my bar plot is coming out with multiple vertical lines like this? The plot should look like the second one. But I was trying to fix some other errors and produced new problems instead.

Code: plot = = data.resample('YE').count().to_period('Y').plot.bar(legend=False, rot=0, grid=True, figsize=(12,6))

Found this in the bathroom nearest the classroom where I teach "Dynamics." This will be my Canvas banner image for Dynamics next year.

Interesting data presented in my college meeting today. The amount of student debt incurred by our graduates has been flat for ~30 years (inflation adjusted).

This, but replace the word management with administration.

A New Yorker Cartoon

“At this point in your career, your only possible promotion is to management, where you will stop doing the work you love and use a skill set you don’t have and we don’t teach.”

A story in two parts.

(1) I wonder why we suddenly need to take attendance in our classes.
(2) Oh

It's that time of year again!

Two questions, which seem like they should be simple to do.

1) Can I change this distribution plot from counts to percentiles?

2) This data is "split" based on "In-person" vs "Online". How to I merge these two plots into one?

Grateful that one of my #REU students from last summer was able to come up from Dallas to present her #research at #NCUR.
Visiting our neighbor to the East, #UWEC, for the #NCUR (undergraduate research conference). It is a really pretty campus!
Still working out some kinks but actually have stuff growing with the #FarmBot now!
