#amlistening A Pagan Place (1984) by The Waterboys. Soulful folk rock, bears a family resemblance to Grant Lee Buffalo.
Martin Scorsese should have cast Brad Dourif instead of Robert De Niro as Max Cady in Cape Fear.
I've been wanting to see this film for years and finally found it streaming on YouTube. Jonathan Demme is a great documentary filmmaker but nothing he had done before this was as politically charged or as emotionally devastating. Father Robert Castle is an Episcopal priest with a ministry in Harlem during the height of the crack era and the War on Drugs. But it's not a white savior film. Demme is careful to place Castle in the context of a community-led movement.
