- I'm an British expat who lives in the Polish city of Wrocław (pronounced WROT-swav) – famous for its dwarves! 🧙‍♀️🏬🧙‍♂️

- I'm allergic to cats 🐈‍⬛

- I own a cat 😏🐈

- I cannot stand rhubarb! 😵‍💫

- I can bend the tops of my thumbs behind my index fingers 😱

- I hold my pen like most people hold chopsticks 🥢

I chase words relentlessly
Like the moth lost in the light
a fluorescent obsession
Never finding the grandeur
beyond paper-thin glass walls
For a moment you see God
yet it was nothing at all
A reflection of failure
you will repeat it again
Every time you pick up the pen
until the night...
you find a pathway to the moon

Sky Rat

City streets echo
a plague of pigeons cooing call
Perched intently above us all,
White stained walls, art déco
Little eyes waiting for crumbs to fall
A fight of melancholic grey
shall sweep those crumbs away
masters of the city day
Coo cooing cliche
the dingy city way
