ACM Creativity & Cognition is happening online next week in Gather. I am the virtual platform chair and I have spent WAY too many hours building a conference space that evokes London, as the 2026 conference will be in person in London.

Fully virtual conferences are accessible to all - sustainable, affordable, equitable, better for folks with caring responsibilities and those unable to travel due to VISA issues. C&C is fully virtual every other year. Join us! @acm_creativitycognition #SIGCHI

Please help my summer research student complete his study. We seek older adults in Canada who use online banking to participate in a one-hour online (Zoom) study about setting up a delegate account so a family member or friend can safely assist with banking tasks. Please feel free to share this with others! Participants must be willing to have their web cam on and screen share while they try out our prototype. This study has been approved by our REB. #canada #finance #aging #winnipeg #fintech
It’s an apple year. So many apples. I’ve given away 3 buckets and still have all this. Sadly, they aren’t very tasty.

My student @zhavens is running a super interesting study. He is looking for study participants who bank online on behalf of older adults to get their thoughts on new design elements meant to support them (the helpers!). We would also love feedback from older adults and banking professionals. Limited to Canadian participants. See poster/link for details and please feel free to share broadly:

A while ago I created this little Processing sketch as a programming question for an intro class. I still find it lovely and relaxing to play with it. Feel free to give it a try if you need a momentary pleasant diversion. 🏙️
