Been building an all new server for my org all day. Finally it's built and starting the process of moving things from old to new. Need to purchase many new things for the rack yet, but it's been fun to try a server build!

My sons both just fell out of their chairs at supper. Their butts are tiny and the chairs are quite large... Children are very talented... 🤦

I just finished building some undercabinet lights using some ws2815 leds and #wled. Then setup some automations using #homeassistant. Seriously guys, #foss is awesome! And the great free knowledge on the internet to teach me to solder.... What a time to be alive!

Been slowly working on a #libcosmic app. It's a presentation app for my ministry and church. I originally wrote it in #C++ and #QML, but have since rewritten part of the backend to #rust with the help of #CXX-QT. This still gave me a really tricky system and I decided to investigate rust ui libraries. Seeing #system76 develop #cosmic in rust with #iced, I decided to try it, and it's working quite nice thus far. Some rough edges, but I can't wait to see it come to fruition.

Ive been using #nixos for the last year or two. I've tried #guix but haven't gotten it to stick yet. Any guix experts want to red pill me on it?

I am still on day 4 of #adventofcode. Not because I can't figure it out tho, merely just because of life getting in the way. Tomorrow morning tho, I'm gonna tackle it.
