RTI’s Center for Education Evaluation and Research (CEER)has an immediate opening for an Education Research Assistant. Under the direction of project and task directors, this individual will support the design and execution of research tasks and analyses, particularly in the areas of elementary/secondary/postsecondary education research and evaluation.   The core responsibility for the position will be data analysis, using a broad range of analytic methods. The successful candidate will create analysis plans, develop specifications for variables and datasets, create data dictionaries, write and implement statistical programs, and provide statistical consultation for project directors, task leads, principal investigators, co-investigators and other staff. Will present findings with the potential to coauthor scientific papers. The position will support multiple research projects, and the successful candidate must be proactive, resourceful, highly organized, and able to work independently and efficiently. We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of, commitment to, and lived experience with equity and social justice. This position will work closely with education research staff at all levels in most of CEER’s content areas, performing a variety of quantitative and qualitative research tasks.   This position can be based in Research Triangle Park, NC; Berkeley, CA; or remote (full time telecommuter).     Please submit a cover letter elaborating your interest in the position.
