Also I think some of the #fediverse pre-emptive reaction to Theads' #activitypub integration being defederating/blocking is a wildly over-the-top move. Wait and see, man. It's not that deep. We don't even know how Threads will interact with the fediverse yet. Don't post anything on the Internet you wouldn't want a stranger knowing is what I'd say.

Hmm. #Threads has a pretty good design.

The thing is other microblogging platforms like #Mastodon and #Twitter are standalone. Threads being exclusively for #Instagram accounts right now makes it feel like alternative Instagram content. An echo chamber within an echo chamber. Why post on Threads at all if there's way more people on Instagram?

But it's early days. Let's see how it plays out.

The #reddit posts I deleted on June 16th via #PowerDeleteSuite have been magically restored.

I'm gobsmacked and insulted. It's *my* content. The audacity to restore it so Reddit can squeeze sweet ad revenue out of it is insane... I'm never visiting that place again.

Reddit shockingly restored all the comments I deleted via PowerDelete Suite a while ago. If Reddit will do their damnedest to keep my content against my will, I'll do what I can to still change it and protest....

Tried to use Power Suite Delete to mass update most of my #Reddit posts over the last 10 years to an open letter against Reddit's API decisions and the CEO's horrendously dismissive behavior of the protest against it. Accidentally deleted most of them instead lol.

Good riddance though I guess. All I used that site for was idle chat more or less. I also posted the template to a few protest subreddits. Onto greener pastures we go.
