We can learn a few things from frogs

#Frogs #Nature #Science

@skinnylatte So, even female frogs choose the bear?
@skinnylatte that is inspiring honestly, we can always learn a few things from animals
@skinnylatte Female European aristocratic frogs use murder
@skinnylatte unfortunately it wouldn't work on some men since we are worse than frogs

@skinnylatte Perhaps not. Don't underestimate the persistent nature of the testosterone filled male homo sapiens and the lack of impulse control when this is combined with alcohol and/or narcotic substances.

There are more than enough court cases/articles in the media here in Norway where the fact that the object of the male's desires was in a catatonic state turned out to be of no impediment to the male's pursuit of their goal.

If only we were like frogs. That would save so much distress.

@the_wub
Bullshit. It's not nature. It's that they don't learn that it's wrong and they see other guys get away with it.

@cshlan

"Nature" as in "the nature of the beast", rather than "nature" as "inevitable".

So you are right, it is not a given that all young men will grow up equating "the catatonic state" to "an invitation to procreate".

However, a lot of young men grow up in social vacuums whereby access to such lessons is absent. Even in supposedly egalitarian societies such as Norway.

So I think that it is important to educate my children about such things as peer pressure is a very powerful force.

@skinnylatte @piiabartos Quite many has already learned 😏
@skinnylatte Male frogs do the same when their boss walks into the office 🤪
@skinnylatte Some things that connect us transcend species.
@skinnylatte to be fair I've done that with 2 women 😂

@skinnylatte

steve martin used to do a "party guy" routine, where he did his side of a conversation at a party. one was him chatting up a woman. he ended with "so, what's a good number to reach you at when hell freezes over?".

not sure playing dead will be quite enough for some guys...

@skinnylatte

What if death isn't a dealbreaker though?

@la_sombra @skinnylatte

Yeah. Faked orgasms already failed us. (To anyone else reading this: no, they're not a nice gesture, we fake to make them stop with minimal violence.)

@skinnylatte
Be kermit, sexy reporter🥳
@skinnylatte My guess is that every woman has felt that same feeling at least once
@skinnylatte yet another thing I have in common with female frogs

@skinnylatte

Or... we could learn from female praying mantises and black widow spiders, and be ruthless with whatever male approaches us. 🤪

@skinnylatte just logged on in order to boost this one post ⏫ 🐸
@skinnylatte Or, crazy idea here, men could be respectful.
@skinnylatte I mean . . . I guess this is news to males throughout the natural world, but . . .
@skinnylatte Growing up, I've heard stories (probably made up stories) of people faking death to avoid the chasing of bears.
Well...
@skinnylatte I've done this, lol. He figured out i was only "sleeping," so I rolled under a cabinet.
@skinnylatte this would not work for pigeons
@skinnylatte I read Dragon Flies do the same thing.
@skinnylatte I guess there are no necrophile frogs
@skinnylatte Para humanas, deve funcionar na maioria das vezes.
@skinnylatte If women did that don't think it would stop some men. Particularly Maga Rinos.
@skinnylatte
Im guessing Bill Cosby doesn't see a problem.
@skinnylatte yeah, we've all been there 🫩
@skinnylatte Won't help you with rapists who are also necrophiliacs ...
@skinnylatte I feel like we kind of do this, just sometimes more subtly
@skinnylatte but I'd rather death to the other party .....
@skinnylatte Clever. Female black widow spiders eat the males after mating. Another idea from nature!
