@mcg This blog post is a good start https://spreadprivacy.com/duckduckgo-tracker-radar/

And check out our repo, https://github.com/duckduckgo/tracker-radar

But essentially, absence from our lists would imply that it's not a tracker, I guess.

@MOULE Thank you for your service, MacBook Air. Also, MacBook Airs are like 10 years old?! When did that happen.

I think it's important to know your competitors, so I've been using Safari on iOS and macOS for a few weeks.

One of the criticisms of the #DuckDuckGo apps is that we don't block ads... well try comparing it with Safari. It's so bad there that I seriously don't know where to click on some pages and end up just closing the tab.

We block ads if they are trackers and most of the time this eliminates all the awful ads that get in your way. Can't wait to go back to dog-fooding our app tbh.

Rust seems to be a popular language with certain folk, it removes the possibility of some common systems programming errors, but it’s fugly. Seriously fugly.

I always thought Lisp was difficult but reading this https://docs.racket-lang.org/more/index.html that’s about a million times easier to read than Rust imo.

@krzyzanowskim for me it’s in the shower. Endless genius ideas that I forget by the time I finish brushing my teeth.
@hamishtpb @TheFrenchGhosty just don’t fall asleep playing, if you don’t crushed you might get burnt (it runs hot!). Though I guess it’s hard to sleep over the volume of those fans :)
@hamishtpb that’s a sorry state of affairs! 🙃 I really felt it in my neck after looking down at the screen and my hands felt broken going back to the ps5 controller.

Hand held gaming devices are not for me. I think they’re pretty awful form factor and riddled with ergonomic and UX problems. However I bought a SteamDeck to play Baldur’s Gate 3 before I knew it was coming out on PS5, with the intention of using it via a dock and with a controller.

Once they announced PS5 I thought about getting rid, then discovered Chiaki. This lets me play my PS5 remotely and pretty smoothly I have to say.

But why? For when my wife wants to watch TV and I don’t.
