So many #ABCNewsAustralia stories that are seemingly written before the event occurs then sloppily published without updating the figures. This is the story I noticed tonight.

"West Terrace in Adelaide CBD has recorded close to 10 millimetres of rain on Thursday after one of the driest months this year.
The city previously recorded a measly 0.6mm of rain on May 20.
"We've recorded 10.6mm of rainfall in Adelaide so far in May, this is well below the [monthly rainfall] average of 61.7mm," senior meteorologist Chris Kent said."

Except the #BoM (Bureau of Meteorology) data states only 6.6mm for today and a total of 7.2mm for May 2024. Funnily enough yesterday they were forecasting up to 10mm as the article states is the total for today.

I'm only a few chapters in but it's good although frustrating reading. It is very #political but all the necessary readings these days are. Personally I think everyone should read it, but particularly anyone over the age of 40 because that demographic are those least likely to understand the issues raised in it and experienced predominantly by younger Australians.

Probably available via your local library in Australia as a physical book or ebook.
