Tusky is looking for contributors!
The #Tusky team has lost a few contributors this year for various reasons, and we need your help building a kick-ass Mastodon app!
While we would also appreciate more technical contributors, we are specifically looking for:
- a person who can manage or help with our social account
- a project manager who can help us draft a Code of Conduct
Please help us spread the word 😊
Our new colleague is taking part in a social experiment.
He has to wear a 'I've got nothing to hide' t-shirt for one week and see how people react. So far he has been frowned at, punched and slapped on the shoulder.
We're curious to see what happens when he goes outside.
If you’re looking for #OpenSource app recommendations, you probably generally land in the usual « LibreOffice / GIMP » space.
But what about replacing other proprietary apps, like Obsidian, Notion, VS Code, Teams or Slack?
Well, I have a few recommendations for these as well, if you want to go all open source (and they all run on #Linux, of course):
“It’s not my duty as mayor to make sure you have a parking spot,” he said at a 2020 conference. “For me, it’s the same as if you bought a cow, or a refrigerator, and then asked me where you’re going to put them.”
Finally, I decided that I cannot wait for Baldur's Gate 3 to be available on PS5 and bought it for Windows. I have it installed in my personal computer with Linux installed, and in a MSI gaming laptop with Windows installed. The specs for both machines are pretty similar (RAM, CPU and GPU). Guess where the game runs much better? In Linux using Proton. Like noticeably much-much better.
