@awsamuel if only all Autistic people didn't get neutered on their 13th birthday there would be a thriving community of #ActuallyAutistic parents as well.
Dear academics, world leaders and everyone who keeps using the “developing-developed countries” vocabulary: what if you substitute developing countries for extracted countries, and developed countries for extractor countries?

I am so happy to find the thriving #actuallyautistic community here.

I am still trying to figure out how to find the #neurodivergent #parenting folks including #parents with #autistic #kids and ESPECIALLY any place where autistic folks are open to engaging with parents who are maybe closer to #neurotypical and keen to listen and learn from autistic adults/elders.

Suggestions welcome, including “please don’t do that”.

Me: My love for you is unconditional. Do you know what that means?

3yo: No. What?

Me: It means I love you forever and ever and always, no matter what.

3yo: Do you know what alone means? It means leave me alone, Mommy.

OK I 100% agree AND I feel like we need some useful intuitive way of periodizing this phase vs yr 1 (pre-vax) and yr 2 (here in Canada I would put the meaningful cut line as the moment when we reached 80% fully vaxxed).

Maybe it’s post-lockdown? The Pfizerderna era?

In practice people ARE going to refer to their experience of returning to office, travel, social life etc (we can debate if that is wise) and without a better term this “post Covid” will keep reinforcing a misplaced confidence.

Today was one of those not especially good but not especially bad days that left me feeling kind of blue.

But it feels like progress that I instinctively audited all my physiological factors (did I eat OK? yep. Exercise? yep. Enough sleep? nope) way before doing the thing of replaying the day to look for icky interactions or mistakes that I could blame my feelings on.

I love it when #TV characters actually wear the same outfits in multiple episodes, like actual humans with a finite quantity of clothing, instead of having bottomless wardrobes that seem especially preposterous for middle-class, non-wealthy people.
