It's time to bring back the Roaring '20s! 💃🏼🦚🎷🥂 (But leave behind racism, eugenics and all other bad things from that era).

SNOWDIN 2: SNOW HARDER

this is the perfect snow; crisp and fluffy, deep enough to play in but not deep enough to be a huge problem. Odin found it a lot more fun than a light dusting.

it also stuck to the back of his legs by the metric ton.

In better news, this year I finally got my first “real” non-hand-me-down photo setup and I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve had to make some choices about when I’m able to carry the giant lens around, but it makes me appreciate the opportunities when they happen. I’ve been learning about flower and plant photography, and a little bit of pet photography too.
Hey! I found the "bitches I am 38" meme I've referenced a few times.

If you see any news outlets saying that black friday shopping reached an all time high this year, they are lying to you!

Black Friday shopping, as in volume of items purchased and number of transactions recorded, was lower than previous years. How much lower depends on how you measure it and who you trust but between 2% and 5% lower seems to be the consensus.

Dollars were up.

So while buying between 2% and 5% less than we have in previous years, we spent 10% more than we have in previous years. That, unfortunately does not mean that black friday Shopping was at an all time high, it means that black friday *spending* was at an all time high.

If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.
And how exactly will Trump “cure cancer” without science and medical research funding?

For the first time in more than a century(!!), salmon are returning to the Klamath River's headwaters following the completion of a major dam removal project.

A good reminder that nature can rebound if we just let it 🐟

Scientists have been studying remote work for 4 years and have reached a very clear conclusion: “Working from home makes us thrive”

"The four-year lens shows a real shift: flexible schedules raise well-being, protect focus, and support steady results. People sleep longer, commute less, eat better, and give more time to family. Because managers reward outcomes, trust grows and meetings get sharper. That is how remote work changes daily life without lowering standards."
