Root infrastructure and education

@AkaSci

This is the saddest part. AI seems like the culmination of this fight against intellectualism and critical thinking. People who can't think critically are easier to control. I don't know what it would take to get a mass movement to rebel and value knowledge and expertise.

@cauZation That's what I advise those with kids to do - look to smaller developing countries, like some of the ones that are currently benefiting from The Belt and Road Initiative in The Global South, before they have to face monarchy or duopoly choices and stay more socially democratic, with multiple parties.

Squeezing power into an unsustainable space is obsolete, in politics, and power hierarchies in general.

@dd #DivideAndConquer strategies are rooted in controlling as much vital infrastructure - of which oceans/seas are - then destabilizing them, to fill with profits from the ignorant masses being oppressed into diminishing repairs...

which eventually collapse the system.

@karabaic With the increasingly wild swings in climate, #desalination makes pragmatic sense. #SodiumIon #batteries are a byproduct of desalination plants that haven't been pursued, nearly enough. Even wave conversion to energy is in the mix with these plants, with other benefits to be added.

@PetterOfCats Therein, perhaps, is the greater evil: taking broader value spaces for oneself, then giving narrower back.

This is the essence of #AbuseOfPower, and the roots of Oppresso De Liber, Vitruvian Man depicting symmetrical value distribution, Eastern philosophies proclaiming centered Chakra emmenating similar distribution, etc..

It's Evolutionary Scale, and fail it too long and often, resutls in utter collapse.

“Knowledge is a public resource...” yeah, I agree, but there is something reassuring when we know the knowledge in the open reflects reality and not some grand delusion.
