Lawetlatla, Looit, or Mt St Helens. My closest volcano and the most active in the PNW. Hoping to make a couple trips up there this year.

A re- #introduction toot: I'm yet another c. 2022 fosstodonian who found a new home in the fediverse. I'm a photographer & a retired fine art framer based in Reno, Nevada, (USA) & I'm in the process of moving to the Four Corners region. I've been running Linux since the late '90s. All photos are mine & edited using Darktable. I follow science, history, & photography toots. Here's a photo I made of Bonsai Rock, Lake Tahoe, Nevada (2017).

Good morning from the Washington State Cascades! As typical this time of year, I’m on a mission this weekend to check out the snowmelt conditions.
A view of the bubbles from Jordan pond in Acadia national Park in Maine.
This is a great loop trail around the entire lake.

On Thursday I hiked Augspurger and Dog Mountains for the first time. I honestly had no idea these were both very steep trails, which I enjoyed immensely. Had a snack while admiring views of Saint Helens and Adams on the backside of Augspurger, where the trail abruptly disappears. Definitely going to defy the sign that says no camping due to Big Foot someday. It was a bit early for peak wildflower season but there were some pretty flowers around. Will have to go back.
Catching up with last week's exploration of Yosemite Valley with my students.
OK, this is rad! Oregon, you keep winning!

I decided to send my hiking clothes to Insect Shield to be treated. The truth is, I couldn’t bear the thought of having to treat them myself again two or three times this year. Just got them back and so far happy. The effectiveness is supposed to last at least 70 washings. Did the bulk option and sent two pants, two shirts, three sun hoodies, and five pairs of socks. It did take 29 days from the initial order to receiving the clothes back, so plan ahead.
