@ianRobinson I’ll have to check that out! Do you know if it’s one of the Apple TV screen savers as well? I love quite a few of those.
@CoastalCoasting Well I parked at Arcadia as the sun came up and was the first person there. The Hug Point parking area is closed and blocked off currently. I got a state park pass so I hope to visit more. It is very pretty here!
@jalley Thank you J!
@von I don’t mind the mud too much but the highway was better than dealing with the same muddy sections.
@TrailTurtle Probably just the normal mud, I’ve never hiked the section before. I only had to duck under one tree. I hiked from where the OCT crosses 101 on the north end of the headland to the Short Sand Beach trailhead. The north side is a bit overgrown, but nothing major. Thank you for working on the trails, much respect! I really need to use my volunteer days off of work this year.
Spent the morning hiking Hug Point and Cape Falcon. Beautiful day at the Oregon coast currently. Sunny and warm. Lots of my hiking today was along the Oregon Coast Trail. I got tired of the mud so I road walked 101 back to my car to make it a loop. No regrets.

Just returned from a ski tour through western Jämtland. Started from from Storulvån and did a loop of nearly 100km past Sylarna, Helags, Vålådalen and back. Partially off trail. Conditions were ok‘ish. Quite stormy at times. Not a lot of snow and lots of ice.

@killyourfm I enjoyed reading your post and completely understand your desire. A nomadic life sounds awesome. If I didn’t have a family and the need of a full time job to take care of them, I would want to do the same. I stopped collecting things many years ago. 95% of the items in my place were purchased by and for others.
@__hetz Thank you for the advice! It’s fun to learn new things. I’ll try again on my next weekday off in a few weeks.
@__hetz My plan was to try to manually crank the engine with the pulley still on to visually inspect the belt. I didn’t have enough leverage to turn it and ran out of time to buy more tools. I am going to get the Honda pulley holder to get the bolt out when I do the timing job for real. It’s famously difficult. I already have the large 1/2 Icon G2 ratchet and impact 19mm socket. If that doesn’t work I will have to buy an electric impact.
