This necklace evokes some of the colors of the Southwest generally, and New Mexico in particular. Several different colors of opaque glass used here, with a dark turquoise peeking through the earthy red, orange and yellow tones. I made the central pendant resemble a sort of talisman. Someone I know, who works at #Southwest #airlines at the #Oakland Airport tells me that the #PortofOakland is raising their costs, and that Southwest is thinking about pulling out of #OAK. If that happens, #OaklandAirport is in danger of closure. We agreed that we haven't seen this mentioned in the news, so I'm sharing it here. #sfbayarea

Really like the feel of this. imho it has some of the same feel as his abstract paintings, spare and simple and quirky. something about that half-moon in the sky, the moon in the daytime is faint and dry.
