I'm quite excited about niri. I had some issues getting screen sharing to work with teams and meet, but got that fixed with the help of the community. Steam had minor problems, but that was fixed by following the wiki. Now I have niri working, and I can't wait to daily drive it. Running on Pop!_OS COSMIC. That was a quick rabbit-hole I dove into 😅

This is more or less a note to self, because I always forget how to do this. If you're using git credentials helper to store your personal access token and the personal access token expires, you need to update the token.

To do this, run `git credential-cache exit` and run `git pull` or `git fetch` to enter your new credentials.

I've been using poetry for my Python projects for a long time now. Finally had the courage to test out uv, and try to migrate one of my projects to it. At first I thought it'd be a huge change, and I'd need to make a lot of updates to my pyproject.toml. With a little bit of research I found that you can just run `uvx migrate-to-uv` in a project and it handles the changes to the pyproject.toml. Pretty neat! Also the speed at which the dependencies are installed awed me 😅

Nice one! The Pixelfed & Loops Kickstarter has surpassed $100_000 CAD (that's over €68_000). That's more than double the goal. This gives me hope in a better future for the Internet as a whole. If you haven't yet - there's still a few stretch goals that can be reached - go and support the Fediverse, even if it's just a dollar you can spare, I think it's worth it.

Oh dear. One more rabbit-hole to dive into. I've heard a lot about #HelixEditor but never looked into it. I've tried many times to use #vim as my go-to editor for my #python projects, but there's always something that made me switch back to #Pycharm. One example being the auto-import never working correctly, which is annoying like hell. Does anyone know if it works any better in helix? Would be nice to know before spending a lot of time learning it, and then just bump into the same issue again 😅 I do like the intuitive way helix seems to do things though.

I haven't got around to watch the latest Twin Peaks yet. How many years ago did it air? Everyone kept saying not to watch it if I liked the first seasons. I loved the series, maybe it's time to check it out if it's as bad as everyone is telling me. Have you seen it? What did you think of it?
