I'm usually hesitant to share too much about my son, Ripley, or his situation but our situation (US, WV/OH) changed last week. Ripley is about 18 months old and we've known since he was born that he would need a #KidneyTransplant once he was big enough. Until last week, our plan was for him to get one of mine. Some scenes from the edge of the woods.

Most of my woodland photography is done when I'm immersed in nature deep inside the woods, but occasionally there are times when I find success on the edge of the woods on shorter visits with the camera.

It's also a very good tactic when photographing in a hoar frost, as the frost often doesn't spread far enough into the woods.
