#hamradio #freecad #freecadfriday A couple of weeks ago, @ve9qrp gave a talk on 3D Printing for Ham Radio. Really enjoyed the talk and tried designing and printing my own parts for the first time. https://journal.jcampbell.ca/sections/First_3D_Print_Designs/

#hamradio Just did some testing with an Amazon 49:1 balun purchased for use with a EFHW. TLDR; Not a 49:1 transformer over 40-10m ham bands. https://journal.jcampbell.ca/sections/Amazon_Balun/

I've just put a journal/blog website online. It's inspired (and shamelessly copied) from a site by @chrisfarnham Not much to see yet except an introductory post: https://journal.jcampbell.ca/sections/Intro_Post/ Hope to post regularly.

QSL Card Size?
Looking for opinions on QSL card size. I'm new to this whole QSL card thing. I've received a couple some are "standard postcard size" 90x140mm (3.5"x5"), but others look like 4"x6". Thinking of designing and printing my own. Any downsides to 4x6? It's a more common size for pre-cut paper if I'm printing my own.

Hi, new to Mastodon, have had my ham license since 2006 but have never operated. Did purchase an Elecraft K2/10 in 2011 with the intention of learning CW and operating but never did. Hoping to get an antenna up soon and try some digital modes while learning CW. My day job is writing software for industrial control systems. Other interests are #bicycle touring, which might tie in with future #pota activations.
