A #PowerChair preserves my joints, so I can function a little more.

Good frosty morning. Dreaming of summer days and nights.

Finally made some progress clearing out trigger points in my shoulder last night. I had a checker pattern of them!

I am working on clearing out browser bookmarks as well. Amazing how many clothes I marked I was interested in (over the last few years) are gone. Some of the brands I like have even disappeared from stores. As have some stores I trust.

I read a current political post that put two things together in my head.

And the Star Trek where Moriety and his partner try to take over the Enterprise and end up in a locked computer simulation box, where they can explore the universe without damage to any living being.

I laughed, one sure way to keep them busy in their own heads and away from real people.

Good late morning.

Last night I played with the Krita program. One part works better now. I decided that if I wanted to practice my drawing, it would be good to practice with the alphabet, as that has lines and curves. So, that was fun.

Yikes. Drawing with a mouse is tough. It would be so much easier if the touchpad worked. I might try the laptop touchpad tonight.

I did finally get the printer connected. Usually the most difficult part (especially in an apartment complex) just worked.

Anyway, hope to write a bit this morning. Though my fingers really hurt. I have about an hour.

Hope everyone has something fun planned today.

Let's talk video games UX, and motion sickness accessibility!

If some video games make you sick (nausea, dizziness, off balance), first, hello, you are not alone. This is a sensory conflict, due to your body not moving while your eye sees a lot of movement. Kind of the same when you are car sick. It’s more common than you think.

I am still tired today.

My day to rest yesterday ended up a day to stress.

I did not get some things done that needed to be.

I still don't feel like it now.

This new computer system will likely outlive me.

I am tired.

There was no reason for the transition to be so difficult.

It brought me to tears.

We've said this would be our last update.

Beyond positive it will have to be!

They neglected to mention that the plugin device wouldn't work for this computer, nor would the power plugin be able to plug in if a device is plugged in.

And five days later and I am still struggling with program updates that I didn't know about.

Please, program designers, if you change a key accessible component, please let users know.

Not being able to find the scroll bar is a key component. In any program.

I feel I have lost five days I could have worked on stuff. And I don't have that many days left....

Some updates are fine.

Others need to have notifications! And how to fix them.

No more updates.

I just feel so stupid not being able to figure out simple things.

How to make scroll bars visible, when they are marked visible in settings, and appear in some programs, and not others. Lost five hours today to try to solve that unsolveable "update."

and so many others this last week. I verified I had all the setting s the same, and then something hidden had changed something.

Ugh.

Some settings are vital for my limited visibility.

I spent a couple of hours playing with resolutions to get that almost correct. Glad for easier to find options, just no help with deciding how they interact. For instance Resolution (XYZ) will make your text appear as size 14 printed text.

And a few of the "helpful" hints just repeated what the text said, with no explanation. No translating definition from text speak to English. Just word for word copy and paste. Which didn't help.

On the latest version of Apple, Tahoe, in Numbers, for some reason, the scroll bars have disappeared.

Technically, they are still there, only one shade darker than the scroll bar holder.

Does anyone know how to make them visible again?

I would prefer it to be purple, or any visible color.

Good afternoon.

A lot behind today.

I did clean most of a closet.

I'll get the rest next week, when I wash the curtains and change them. And take the plastic off the windows. Supposed to be near single digits for a few days next week.

Am tired.
