Fair warning, sometimes my humor is off-color and edgy (up to Filthy Frank level), but never said with malice or hatred. I also forget to CW sometimes.

This followed me home from my regional Comic-Con on Saturday. A 2nd controller (this time a model 2) and two games (as of right now), Robo Pit and Virtua Fighter 2 have since followed.

It's finally happening. The best Sega console is mine now :3

Anubis is now guarding the git server

I have had it with the onslaught of AI and indexing bots that keep my web servers in a constant state of near-crashes. In particular git.slackware.nl is not handling the load well. It's powered by cgit, and with tens of thousands of requests per hour to serve the details of git commits, cgit experiences a lot of segfaults. @mozes I'm months late to this news, seeing as it was announced in January, but with the Pinebook Pro being discontinued this year, and with the entire Pinebook line being discontinued until further notice, what's Slackware ARM's plan for this?

Is the plan to try to find more units in order to keep support alive, or just wait till the hardware dies off then call it a day as far as support?

Potentially #UnpopularOpinion: The floppy disk icon should continue to be the universal save icon, even if most people alive today have never seen an actual floppy. The icon itself is the symbol, not the actual object. It's a lot easier to understand (even for new users, IMO) than something abstract, like an arrow pointing to a line (or a chip).

At the very least, I think it's more understandable than any symbolic icon I've seen thus far.

Hacking on "sair" (Slackware ARM Installer Repacker) — a tool for creating custom Slackware AArch64 installer images with vendor kernel forks (like the Raspberry Pi kernel) for hardware that works better with them over upstream Linux. 🖥️🐧 #Slackware #ARM #Linux
