Well merry friggin christmas to me I guess. That's what I get for daring to have a good thing for once. I just got home from Chicago & glad the kid didn't come back with me bc GUESS WHO HAS NO HEAT?! Apparently at some point, my furnace quit working. It is 42 degrees in here & Idk what to do. I'm alone with no help and no money for this. I just want to cry.
I've got an electric space heater & luckily pipes are ok but GODDAMNIT.
I'm barely making it & this could ruin me.

The boss gave me tomorrow off like I'd hoped he would so I raced home after work, packed, showered, loaded up & hit the road with the kiddo. Rocked the ride in 2.5hrs to Led Zeppelin & Sabaton.🤘 Mission to outrun the blizzard from Rock Island to Blue Island was a great success! HUZZAH! 😆

Granted, I only have 1 kid but yeah. Got all my xmas shopping done tonight after work, then got everything wrapped after he was in bed. Whew! Tomorrow: cleaning/packing. I have a lot to do to get ready to beat this blizzard coming later this week so we can make our trip to Chicago (3hrs east from us). Shaping up to be a real bruiser & I'd rather not take any risks if I can help it. 50mph+ winds/snow/polar temps. Midwest winter. Gotta love it.🤷♀️😅
