@[email protected] no I wouldn't. Perhaps it's pride or the knowledge that far more people have it far worse than I & need the help more. I just can't bear the thought of taking what others deserve or need more. I appreciate the sentiment, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for that kind of help. I have a roof over my head. I'll survive. I made it thru a time when I paid for gas in change & if it weren't for family, I'd have been homeless so if I keep fighting, I know I'll make it. Thank you though.😊

@silvercomet21 tech is here. It's the blower motor exactly as I thought. Had to drain way too much from savings when I already had to tap it down far too low from other things this year, but I didn't have a choice. $800 though...just...ouch.

Guess its pb&j & ramen for me for a while.😫😬

I've been in worse shape but it definitely hurts. 😓

@silvercomet21 thanks. It was a long night. I pulled an all nighter bc it's too risky to sleep alone with an electric space heater going. I've placed a call & a tech is on his way. It's right after christmas & I don't get paid again for a few more days so hoping this isn't an epic cost.🤞

Well merry friggin christmas to me I guess. That's what I get for daring to have a good thing for once. I just got home from Chicago & glad the kid didn't come back with me bc GUESS WHO HAS NO HEAT?! Apparently at some point, my furnace quit working. It is 42 degrees in here & Idk what to do. I'm alone with no help and no money for this. I just want to cry.
I've got an electric space heater & luckily pipes are ok but GODDAMNIT.

I'm barely making it & this could ruin me.

@mrbadger42 look, man, IL is cold enough. I live in IL & work in IA. That's enough of a taste. Currently on the south side of Chicago for xmas (left home just ahead of the storm). I can get real gryos, pizza, and Portillos here. I'm set. Thanks, though. 😅 I mean last week, I was smokin cigs outside in a tshirt. This week, had to bust out an actual coat!🤣
