Where are the (ancient) places where Winter Solstice was/is observed/celebrated?
This is a part of a visualization that I created in 2013 (a redesign of the one I did in 2012) on the longest night of the year. I created it because of my dislike of the darkness this time of year (I live in the Netherlands) and I so wish to have more light again. Literally and figuratively that is, for everyone 💛

I interviewed Michelle Yeoh a few years ago about #StarTrekDiscovery and I mentioned offhand that I'd written an article about what seeing her use her accent on the bridge of a starship meant to me.

She stopped and said "Wait, that was YOU?"

And then proceeded to talk about how much that article had meant to HER and how it contributed to the success of the show.

I can't think about it without crying.
