I would be a lot more sympathetic to the "code reviews are not for finding bugs" noise if:

- I hadn't, this week, spotted a multiple bugs in multiple code reviews
- I hadn't, this week, spotted a bug in LLM-generated code
- There weren't multiple studies that showed how effective code review is at catching bugs.
- If Copilot reviews hadn't caught bugs in my code

I agree, code review is not _just_ about catching bugs. But this recent attempt to claim, in the face of all the facts, that we don't need to do reviews to catch bugs in LLM-generated code smacks of desperate rationalisation. That's the voice of the hype talking: LLMs will make you 10x, 100x faster, but you're slowing it down by doing all of these _tedious_ reviews.

The latest Finder bug is that I have windows open that I can move around but can no longer select the files in the window. I also cannot close, or maximize or minimize the window.

I have four of them jammed into the lower edge of the screen for now until I reboot. (Current uptime is 22 days.)

From the macro to the micro: jewels in the sand at Dune du Pilat. The dune is home to a variety of dull & not-so-dull 🐞#bugs, some of which we identified. Pyrrhidium sanguineum | the Welsh oak longhorn beetle sounds as if it’s far from home, but is actually common in much of Europe, where it prefers a supply of oak (📷1). Native Hylobius abietis | the large pine weevil is considered a pest on pine plantations, as they damage seedlings (📷2); the unsightly destruction of forest adjacent to the dune is however the result of fires in 2022 (& subsequent felling), triggered by human activity. Native Coccinella septempunctata | the seven-spotted ladybird is readily identified by counting the 3 spots on each red elytron, with the 7th spanning both (📷3). Native Cicindela campestris | the green tiger beetle is widespread across Eurasia (📷4).
