Dug this out of hibernation to finish up for my niece's birthday next month.
Honestly, the pattern sucked. It wasn't that complicated but the instructions are SO terrible. And it's not just me, there's whole blogs about it, lmao.
So I fought with this every step of the way, and I'm so glad to have it done and blocking. Didn't pin it because I wanted to see how it'd dry when my sister washes it.
Judi SohnFor my cousin’s birthday next weekend and the #fallfinishalong #knitting - cabled wrap and hat in a cozy fingering wool. I’m working to finish mittens that match the hat but given the party is on Saturday and I have about 40 grams left it’s unclear if I’ll run out of yarn or time first.

I was today many years old before I learned that the way to remove water spots from car windows is to use extra fine (“0000”) steel wool to “polish” the glass. Then wipe down with a bit of lightly soaped water, then sponge clean with clear water, dry with paper towels or cotton/microfiber rag. Apply a thin layer of Rain-x water repellent to discourage more water spots. 🥳
The steel wool is like magic, took just a few minutes and a light touch.

I will be spending this lovely evening undoing 20 rows of this toddler’s fisherman’s knit sleeve, stitch by stitch because of the pattern - cuz I’m an idiot and cannot read instructions 🙄 In my defense, I was tired last night, and shouldn’t have pressed on so late into the evening.

@ludibriumventis @consumableJoy @knitting @fiberarts It helped that a grandniece was born in 2021 - so lots of projects for her. And made lots of toys with oddment yarns.
@consumableJoy @knitting @fiberarts I spent the pandemic working through a massive inventory of yarn - and am happy to report that I have only two projects remaining in the queue 🥳 Now that’s not to say that I did not buy any new yarn, cuz I did - but I also worked down the old inventory :)
