I will be spending this lovely evening undoing 20 rows of this toddler’s fisherman’s knit sleeve, stitch by stitch because of the pattern - cuz I’m an idiot and cannot read instructions 🙄 In my defense, I was tired last night, and shouldn’t have pressed on so late into the evening.

Back of fisherman’s sweater for 2 1/2 yr old grandniece, using the very last skeins of the original Rowan denim yarn that is no longer available. After washing, it will shrink by about 10% in length and pattern will tighten up. I have really enjoyed using this yarn, and am hopeful that I can find a similar unmercerized cotton yarn. #knitting
I started a vermicomposting bin (aka worm farm) 3 months ago. I feed them about a pound of food scraps every week. This is the second pail of castings (aka 💩) they have yielded. Great fertilizer, good way to use food scraps, earthy smell but not stinky, no fruit flies since I learned to manage moisture. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Highly recommend if you have a small, shady area for one.
I feel sorry for people who do not know the thrill of turning the heel on a rabbit toy.
The only thing my 86-yr old requests when he visits from Texas - homemade #sourdough bread, with homemade strawberry jam, of course.
I estimate 150 man hours spent on this sweater. Linen and wool blend fiber from Woolfolk, aran weight (size 8 US needles). Looks a bit like carved stone, right?
