It's been too long since I visited the Oregon coast, but I'm sure it will be waiting for me, on that magical section of Route 101 that has some of the (many, *many*!) best views of a sunset out world has to offer...this "Sentinel of the Sea".

Still rates as the most spectacular sight I've seen from the air: the sun, the clouds, and the air itself lined up just perfectly for that gorgeous glow, the unique quality of sunset as seen from the realm of the gods.
