Popping in from hiatus to post this beauty. This is liverwort (Anemone hepatica) & it's one of my absolute favorites. I look for it in early #spring on #ClearCreekTrail. Usually find 1-2 plants but this yr found a whole patch👍.

Came across this amazing tree (American sycamore I believe) on #ClearCreekTrail so I though I'd post it for #ThickTrunkTuesday. At first I though it was two trees but if they were once they're fused now. The tree/branch in the rear was roughly 5-7 ft diameter.

This vertical photo is definitely my favorite from #ClearCreekTrail this fall (u may have to open to see all).

I came up a hill & turned the corner & there was a glowing yellow maple right in front of me 😍.

I actually planned out the timing of this visit. It was the same week & the same time of day as photos I took 2 years ago. I loved the combo of foliage & lighting back then & it didn't disappoint this time 👍.

Fall on Clear Creek and #ClearCreekTrail

A little hard to see the creek in the middle there. Caught this a day or two before full color and planned to go back but a storm took a lot of the leaves down. Hard to catch the timing on the fall colors and sometimes, weather 🤷‍♂️.

We're getting very close to full fall colors on #ClearCreekTrail. I'm still concerned that the weather with knock the leaves down so I headed out yesterday to see where things are at. As you can see, the sky was gorgeous and more and more of the golds and yellows are coming out.

The leaves are turning quickly along this section of #ClearCreekTrail in Coralville. Hopefully we won't have any wind storms so I can catch it when it all turns🤞
