I’ve been seeing more videos on #Youtube lately discussing the loss of sincerity in both media and society. Do any of you have observations on #thelossofsincerity? If there’s any research out there, please point me in that direction. I find the topic to be very interesting a crucial to the emotional intelligence of society as a whole.

The fact mainstream #media almost exclusively reports on the #UHC murder investigation but little on the public being pleased is such a HUGE failing. I’ve seen maybe one article on the matter. Seriously, our #healthcare is so broken that the public applauds a CEO’s death and the media is so lacking that they’d produce more #nothingburger articles on minor updates than dig deeper into the reaction.

In honor of #pridemonth I’m listening to the audiobook “Hi Honey, I’m Homo!” By #MattBaume. It details the history of queering of American culture through sitcoms, from #Bewitched to #ModernFamily and everything in between!

He was one of the least known — but most influential — photographers ever to work in Oregon. Trained as a scientist — he earned a bachelor’s degree in earth sciences at Oregon State University in 1969 — Toedtemeier picked up a camera instead of a test tube and became fascinated with photography during the wild and wooly artistic experimentation of the 1970s. A small selection of his work is on display through Aug 11 at the UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.
