With the new #AI website scraper you can now extract detailed part information like prices, data sheets, parameters and more, from (almost) any webshop.
It utilizes an #LLM to convert the text of the website to a structured representation Part-DB can use.
This even works with Webshops who contain no or very little structured metadata.

So now you can easily import things from almost any supplier into your Part-DB database with just 2 clicks and no need to transfer Infos by hand.

If you are using Part-DB as an central database for @kicad, you can now define your own list of footprints and symbols for autosuggestion in Part-DBs editor. That's especially useful if your team uses its own library and does not rely on #kicad standard library.

Whn you now scan an barcode of a new part ordered from LCSC, Digikey or mouser, you will not only get directly the part infos like datasheets, pictures, etc. but you can also the ordered quantity from the barcode, reducing the amount of data you have to type in manually.

With Part-DB 2.8 you can now create parts directly from barcodes.
If you order parts from #digikey, #mouser, #lcsc or Amazon, and they don't exist in your database yet, you can just scan the distributor barcode, and Part-DB will fetch all relevant Infos like descriptions, parameters, data sheets, prices, etc. from the distributor, and offer to create a new part based on that.
