@dasparky tysm, i've been unsure about what to do with the surge in recent lead reports.

even if this isn't the perfect solution right now (i'll have to investigate ingredients and see what the body says too), it's good to know there are places which are taking it seriously.

Safety Warning for people on Rapamycin / Sirolimus / Rapamune

Chrysanthemum, Dandelion, Bishop's Weed, and/or Liquoirce, even if blended with other tea ingredients, can interact with the medications, including stopping absorption & be potentially dangerous. Please be careful.

For me personally, chrysanthemum tea blocked the efficacy of my latest dose of rapamycin. I'm really hoping that's all that it did.

@skinnylatte oh I know you're not!! I was just reminded and sharing a good option <3

Harucake sounds incredible, I LOVE a corn anything, but corn latte sounds exceptional, tysm!!

@SRLevine

@skinnylatte @SRLevine ewwww.

But now you reminded me there’s a place in little Tokyo LA that does miso carbonara udon. They’re a good udon shop where they make fresh noodles though (and not a weird expensive white person horror show) and I fell down a rabbit hole making sure they’re still there and dang now I could go for udon.

I’m vegetarian but tbh I plan on one day having their carbonara udon a cheat just because I’ve heard such good things about it

Just in case. Its worth the wait time:

@ahimsa_pdx Thank you Ahimsa! This makes sense and the complications of the picture are super real.

Part of me hopes that even LC can put urgency on more ME/CFS research, but I’m also heartbroken that it hasn’t been there previously… so I don’t know. I’m very aware I have a short term perspective in comparison to many folks who have had me/CFS for decades… (optional Q: how do you feel about current research situ? Does it seem hopeful if overdue, or have there been bombs and busts in the past that have gotten not many good treatments? Something else?)

In one of Dr Iwasaki lectures I went to, she said the current thinking is 4 diff mechanisms for long covid, and that people would have one or multiple, which explains the diversity in the constellations of symptoms. If it is that and that includes post-viral ME/CFS, that’s likely 4 diff biomarker tests… that’s a *lot* of research and time, to your point.

I always appreciate seeing you in my mentions, not just for the cat btw. Thanks for being there.

@illmarks

@anglemaece yes!! making things is fun.

And (no rush) please feel free to tag me *if you want* I would love to see.

@NilaJones awwww thank you thank you!!

Once I’ve refined the idea more, would you want to chat about it? I’d be curious your thoughts, but also seriously No Pressure.

@illmarks

@NilaJones Thank you SO much Nila, this explains a lot of the disconnect in my head. The ā€˜I read these seemingly very accurate studies, and then I don’t hear anything about how they are going to become accessible to people. (Especially for folks or clinicians who are only vaguely informed or curious &/or don’t have resources for getting to studies…)

And YES THIS to everything you said about the US political dynamic impacts
