I’m coining a new term: TECHNO-BARBARIAN

The most obvious exemplar is the CEO who shall not be named. (Hint: EM).

Perhaps no more needs to be said, but I will briefly say: Techno-Barbarians are as benighted as they are shallow, as well as clueless about other human beings.

I took a hiatus from Mastodon for a while. I want to apologize to those who followed me during this time. I’ve tried to follow people who followed me during this period (with a few exceptions for standard reasons).

I’m hoping to be more active on Mastodon now. I will follow back new followers (with the usual caveats about watching for bad vibes).

Unfortunately, what it does not tell you is:

1) Only 15.4% of eligible Americans (5+ years) have received the booster.

2) You can get Long Covid after experiencing so-called mild disease.

3) You can still get a serious (non-mild) acute version of Covid even if vaccinated, although the odds are greatly reduced if vaccinated and boosted.

4) If people masked in public spaces we could reduce the number of infections.
