Northern Ireland deal opens door to “immediate” talks on UK Horizon Europe association, says von der Leyen
Commission president Ursula von der Leyen has said that work on associating the UK to the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme will start “immediately” once the wider deal between Brussels and London agreed on Monday is implemented. The deal, dubbed the Windsor framework, was welcomed by von der Leyen as “good news for scientists and researchers in the EU and in the UK”.
