Putting an ask out for a friend. She's hoping someone might have some of these Mars Lumograph 100 EE pencils tucked away somewhere that they don't want. They're unavailable now and there's nothing quite like them out there. If you have any let me know and I'll put you in contact.

Please boost!

I love the mixture of ancient traditions in Christian commemorations: eggs, chickens, rabbits; mistletoe and holly; shrines to guardians of road junctions repurposed as Marian; etc..

In this part of France we have a pastry called "pine des Rameaux" (Rameaux = Palm Sunday). The name suggests the phallic nature of this fertility symbol. Its form shouts rather than suggests.

I like the ones filled with cream.

@dank @vapaad how interesting, I'll have to try making this, I was just wondering yesterday how to use all the red veined sorrel that finally established on my plot and grows everywhere!

@vapaad soup, soup, soup! it's really popular all over Europe, but especially in the east. there are Ukrainian, russian, Armenian, and even French versions (with a smoother texture). it's also great cold, especially if you make it without meat.

Quick Sorrel Soup (Shchavel Borscht)

Sorrel Soup is a classic Russian/Ukrainian soup that’s loaded with potatoes, greens and veggies. Serve it hot with a big dollop of sour cream.
