Been watching Trek Talks 5 and really enjoying seeing panels with cast members from my favorite series TNG, DS9, and Voyager. 🖖 ❤️

The whole livestream is a fundraiser for Hollywood Food Coalition, and I LOVE that video clips of their volunteers include people in MASKS! It just feels so validating & helps enormously to normalize mask-wearing. 😷 ❤️

If youre protesting today PLEASE wear an n95/kn95 mask! It seriously helps protect you & people around you! It isnt good because of "surveillance", it is good because we want other people pushing progress to be alive, healthy, & active in their communities.
Long covid/post viral illness risks that.

I'm wonderign two things, given that my first post about covid is now over six years old:

[1] why did the term "Typhoid Mary" not come back into regular parlance, and [2] where the hell were the unions in protecting their members from airborne hazards in all this:

Health Canada classified nCoV-19 a Risk Group 3 hazard, and even without using the magic word, that should have been enough to start protecting workers.
