Gadgetbridge 0.88.0: New devices and key fixes - Gadgetbridge

A free and open source Android application for bluetooth devices.

I install a 10" IPS panel in one of my projects. But since it is a device in a retro look, I would like to re-enact the curvature of a CRT with an acrylic glass.

Do you have any ideas how I could do that?
Has anyone done that before?
Any ideas?

It worked! But the random seams are more visible than I expected. Maybe I'm going back to aligned for this part πŸ€”

First time I'm using the wall sequence inner/outer/inner in #orcaslicer for a part with overhangs. Fingers crossed 🀞

Here's my #freecadfriday contribution:

I've continued my work on the DIY twitter box case. The amazing #FreeCAD forum showed me a way to model the attachment points to install the base plate (inside the corners). Additionally, I've separated the base plate from the frame. And I've added 4 brackets to mount the frame with the lid. I'm going to add a guide edge instead of the notch to position the brackets. The nodge results in visible artifacts on the outside of the printed part.

Thank you very much for your ideas and proposals! The final solution was proposed by Shalmeneser in the FreeCAD forum.

The #FreeCAD forum is just amazing!

First reply after 40 minutes - reply with the solution I'm going to adapt after 59 minutes. Shalmeneser nailed it using a DatumLine and a DatumPlane. If you're interested, I've asked some nerdy detail questions in the forum πŸ€“

My example showing the proposed solution from Shalmeneser is attached.

The details:

I'm currently working on an enclosure. In the corners, I'm modelling areas where heat inserts should get inserted. To not need support structure while 3D-printing the frame of the enclosure, I want to add a chamfer to the "area" in the corner where the heat insert is going to be inserted. However, I'm struggling to find a clean workflow. I'd be happy to get some advice on this one.

Hey #FreeCAD community!

I'm looking for some advice regarding how to add a 45 degree chamfer to an odly shaped area in a rounded corner.

#donation #spende
