Annoying pedant. I spot errors. In the past, for a living. Now, just for kicks (it's a compulsion).

Well done, social media, for meaning that I've lost touch with pretty much everyone I ever once knew!!!
👏 👏 👏
Mastodon is pretty much unusable these days.

Warning. Self-sabotage self-destructive mood activated today.
It feels like it was a really stupid thing to do now, moving into the middle of nowhere, where I didn't know anyone.
I tried. I joined clubs and choirs. But never really made any connection. Eventually got ostracised and retreated back to the home and online. I don't now go out at all. I don't see any others outside the house, and haven't done so for nearly 10 years now.
SM was a lifeline. But it looks like that is going too now.
The shenanigans over at Xitter and consequent migration over to BlueSky have left me feeling really quite discombobulated.
Twitter was the SM platform I got on with the best. I made lots of friends there, none of whom I knew IRL. Now they are scattered to the wind - BlueSky is much harder to connect on. This place (Masto) is next to impossible too.

Meanwhile, Meta shipped its own textual social media platform, Threads. The...</p>
For some reason, YT changed the rules around some of my video listings so that I could no longer share them. Even I couldn't see them, so here is one of them I've made public.
It shows why picking the longest waits matters when trying to clear a waiting list.
Given how the World is right now, I'm not sure I want to be in it any more.
(Please don't worry. I simply don't have the motivation to do anything about that either.)
I just felt I needed to say it.
Everyone is talking about the AI-generated images in this review, but not the potentially AI-generated text. To me (as a (former) editor), that's much more concerning.
