A few weeks ago an image I posted of a squeeze stile seemed quite popular, so here's a collection of the different types of stile I encountered on Saturday.
I don't normally head to this area in high season, so I loved seeing the high pasture awash with flowers. This is acidic grassland, in between the peaty moor on the tops and the lowland improved pastures.

When I was little, my parents got a new set of cutlery. It was too big for me, so my mother would give me a knife and fork from the old set, while they used the new one.
She was still doing this when I came home from university.
When they moved, I got that old cutlery. I like it, it has roses on the handle.
My partner doesn't like it, so he gives them to me and uses different ones.
And so, 40-50 years after it was bought, these adult hands are still using that old cutlery.
