New manuscript 📃: immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines after primary vaccination with Novavax NVX-cov2373 are pretty solid. Challenging study to do in an ever-changing climate. Congrats to primary author Dr. Tia Babu. https://academic.oup.com/ofid/advance-article/doi/10.1093/ofid/ofad673/7505602?login=true
SARS-CoV-2 Omicron sub-variant Neutralization following a primary vaccine series of NVX-CoV2373 and BNT162b2 monovalent booster vaccine

Abstract. We evaluated the immunologic response to a novel vaccine regimen that included two doses of NVX-CoV2373 (Novavax) followed by 1 dose of BNT162b2 (Pfiz

Activation-based repertoire analysis for T cell clonal dynamics in hybrid COVID-19 immunity - Nature Immunology

The use of T cell receptor signatures to track activated spike-specific T cell dynamics between recovery from SARS-CoV-2 infection and subsequent mRNA vaccination shows that vaccination effectively recruits pre-existing memory and new CD8+ T cell clonotypes.

@failedLyndonLaRouchite you should be able to read an early preprint of this manuscript, at no cost, here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9580387/ . It doesn’t have all the data, and has changed a bit since this version, but the main findings are the same.
CD8+ T cell clonotypes from prior SARS-CoV-2 infection predominate during the cellular immune response to mRNA vaccination

Almost three years into the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, hybrid immunity is highly prevalent worldwide and more protective than vaccination or prior infection alone. Given emerging resistance of variant strains to neutralizing antibodies (nAb), it is likely that ...

New publication! Kudos to the primary authors for their patience and stamina thru a long review process to get this over the finish line. Full TCR sequencing and lab analyses support CD8 T cells dominate vaccine responses in SARS-CoV-2 hybrid immunity. #COVID, #SARSCoV2, #TCELLS #hybridimmunity

Repeated mRNA vaccination sequentially boosts SARS-CoV-2-specific CD8+ T cells in persons with previous COVID-19 - Nature Immunology

Koelle and colleagues use an activation marker-dependent approach to determine the recruitment of TCR by three doses of mRNA vaccination in individuals previously infected with SARS-CoV-2.

Why are some vaccines more protective than others? Our manuscript investigating T cell characteristics in persons that received different zoster vaccination formulations is officially out!

We are deeply honored that Prof. Tony Cunningham has chosen to highlight this in his insightful commentary. #shingles #vaccine #Tcells

JCI - Recruitment of naive CD4+ T cells by the recombinant zoster vaccine correlates with persistent immunity

Coming soon: Our paper in collaboration with Adriana Weinberg's UCD team, which compares initial memory subset and longevity of CD4 T cells recruited by different shingles vaccines. Reaching into naive populations may explain long-lived responses. https://www.jci.org/articles/view/172634

#immunology folks—we are hunting for #cloned #HLA cDNAs and coming up empty for HLA-A*66:01. Does anyone know a source to acquire this before we burn hours to isolate/clone it ourselves or spend $$$ to have it synthesized?
UPDATE: it’s put back together like a 3D puzzle, albeit with mysteriously missing case screws. Onward to calibration!
Lab scientists! We need your help. our Rainin LTS multichannel pipette was discovered on the floor in pieces today. Anyone know how to reassemble? I can find no instruction online 😔
