Just announced! My new standup show about chronic illness and wellness culture is called “Have You Tried Brain Surgery??” - and I’m bringing it to Adelaide Fringe.
Tickets are on sale now. Might make a good chrissie pressie for someone in your life?
(Yes, that’s me in the pic.)

To the weak attempts at trying downplay #Elmo’s obvious #Nazi signaling by insisting that he was actually talking about #Madagascar or whatever, recall that he loves the number 69 and his bid for #Twitter was $54.20 per share because Elmo thinks 420 is funny. He is a fully developed 4chan troll, not a fully functional adult. He is perfectly aware of “88.”
Here’s some more examples of Nazis receiving the signal loud and clear. It’s endless. Please simp for him somewhere else.
Why #ContextMatters (not only, but particularly) in #archaeology:
An archaeological artifact without its documented find context is … like an image ripped from a book (and the rest of the pages torn into shreds): something nice to look at, but missing the actual story about it.

Let's cross the threshold to our human past
An Incredible Day In Internet History
It started with the Twitter lockout. 10,000 new users per hour. A QUARTER MILLION people migrated to Mastodon in one day. The servers struggled. Remarkably, admins all over the world built up capacity in real time. New users were patient. The system held.
It's running better now. There will be more hard days ahead, but people powered social media has arrived.
Time for an intro post to pin for folks here.
I'm a disabled person, living on stolen Wiradjuri country. I talk and write about disability, the NDIS and how disabled people make change in the world.
I work in disability policy and comms, doing a heap of work about employment at the moment - how do we get rid of the barriers to work that so many disabled people experience?
My writing is at elgibbs.com.au, and I write regularly for the fab people who support my Patreon - patreon.com/elgibbs. The most recent piece was a detailed look at NDIS costs - there were spreadsheets involved.
Look forward to finding those I know from Twitter over the next little while.
