This is a well-known neo-Nazi abbreviation for “Heil Hitler” on a day that Nazis are trending. This is NOT accidental. Elmo is extremely well-versed in 4chan symbology.

If anyone was wondering if #Elmo’s target audience got the message. “14/88” is a popular extension of “88” which adds the “14 words” about saving “white children” created by Nazi terrorist David Lane.

To the weak attempts at trying downplay #Elmo’s obvious #Nazi signaling by insisting that he was actually talking about #Madagascar or whatever, recall that he loves the number 69 and his bid for #Twitter was $54.20 per share because Elmo thinks 420 is funny. He is a fully developed 4chan troll, not a fully functional adult. He is perfectly aware of “88.”

American media’s reporting of sociopolitical division and unrest almost entirely ignores the psychological war that produces the bizarre, violent behavior they breathlessly report on.

@jimstewartson Jim this is a great article! I agree social media needs reform! I had proposed once in a tweet that reform comes in the form of the platforms themselves agreeing to basic rules that are not debatable! Just like the cellular industry did many years ago with the CTIA group. This would free up the government from monitoring and enable the industry to have some freedoms. Again great article!

I've blocked him but you can still see his tweets so I had to go see for myself, and yep, there it was. A few people recognized it for what it was, and knew what it meant. I don't support nazis or their businesses, so I'm working in the next couple of days on figuring out how to shut it all down. There's still a few people I was hoping would come here, but I can't wait. In Norway, Nazi sympathizers were called Quislings. I am not a Quisling.

A mainstream understanding of methods used to influence and manipulate people on social media and in the militant groups they come to associate with is a powerful weapon against it’s malignancy.
