Wij hebben die kunnen meefinancieren en zo hebben wij een beter platform, en de rest van de wereld ook. Zo investeren we in onze communicatiemiddelem en de gehele fediverse tegelijk.

I'm utterly disgusted to see the European Commission supporting it and amplifying it. Today, EC President von der Leyen endorsed W on its launch. She never did that for Eurosky!

It's predictable that the rightwing EPP would align with a closed, billionaire fantasy social media platform, but it is sickening to see EC do it

Hey, great news! Here's the recording of my recent talk at DrupalSouth about working on the Drupal service module in nixpkgs. I talked about what nix is and why it might matter to web hosters and infrastructure people, plus a basic overview of the nix configuration interface to run Drupal as a NixOS service. It was fun introducing this tool to new users!

Plus, it's good timing, with the latest release of NixOS 26.05, all of the features that I cover in this talk are now in the stable release.

Nieuwe blog in mijn reeks over innovatie: ‘Uitvinden kunnen we, nu nog vasthouden.’

Booking.com — in 1996 bedacht door een Twentse student, in 2005 voor €110 mln aan de VS verkocht, nu >€100 miljard waard. Een Nederlandse vinding, elders verzilverd.

Ons probleem is niet uitvinden, maar vasthouden: net als een bedrijf groot kan worden, ontbreekt de financiering. Van 888 tech-exits sinds 2019 waren er maar 11 een beursgang. Het kan anders — zie Adyen en Mollie.
