Neither Mastodon nor Threads use the Server-to-Client API Spec of Activity Pub. And it is pretty clear, that Meta will not add an open API to Threads, like Mastodon has. SO you will not be able to login into Threads using any App other than Threads.

But you will be able to interact with Threads users from any other Fediverse platform and if that is a platform with third-party app support, like mastodon, you can use any compatible third-party app.

Section 230 is intact!

This is great news not just for
#Twitter and #YouTube but also for the Fediverse.

It means that if something terrible, like a terrorist threat, gets hosted on your server, you are not legally liable for its contents.

And trust me, due to the realities of federation, there will be times when bad material will momentarily hit your server -- even if you're the world's greatest content moderator.

We can all breathe a sigh of relief. That is, for now.

Lawrence: 'This conversation was recorded' most dangerous phrase for Giuliani in sexual assault lawsuit

Noelle Dunphy’s lawsuit against Rudolph Giuliani accuses him of violating labor law, sexual harassment law, and laws against sexual assault but, as MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell points out, the lawsuit also claims there are audio recordings of Giuliani – some of which allegedly show Giuliani committed federal and state crimes. Giuliani denies the allegations.
