After three months and one reshipping episode (one month passed just because of the lost package), I finally have this thing in my home!
The only sad thing: I won't be able to test this until late into next week!

After seeing lots of people preordering the C64 Ultimate Elite or whatever it's called, I went in the other direction and bought a C64 Reloaded MK2, despite having two C64Rs MK1 from 2015 already.
I moved the chips from one of those to the new one (from the other one I took the other SID).
Now I have the luxury of switching from 6581 to 8580 and back at will, while the C64 is on.
Also, there's this fancy thing of connecting to the board from a PC through the dedicated USB serial port, in order to configure stuff.
And there's also custom Kernals and character ROMs and things like that, but I didn't try those at the moment.
Next silly money spending scheduled: a 1541 Ultimate 2 +L (the tape adapters are sold out right now, or I would have ordered it already 🤪)

Linus #lftkryo Åkesson has been at it again, this time covering Computers by ClownC0re using quite a few #Commodore #C64 and #Amiga computers, as well as a few floppy drives and his trusty C=tar. The faux sax solo on the latter was really great!

My current one was drawn by Cami from "Stuck in Attic", an independent game studio, known for their game Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure.

They're three amazing people, what they are doing seems unique!

Just completed another Mastodon migration, this time from the https://c64.chat instance, which is very sadly going to disappear on December 1st.
Since my previous account is going away, I guess an #introduction is in order.
I live in Rome, Italy (I'm from Naples, though), I'm in my early fifties, and in the last year and a half I started to finally understand more stuff about the #Commodore64 , mainly thanks to the #XCBASIC cross compiler (if you're curious: https://xc-basic.net/ ).
I still have to learn plenty more, but in the meantime I had the audacity to put a couple of little #C64 games on https://jjflash.itch.io
I'm quite sad that c64.chat is going to shut down, I also hope to feel at home here just like I did there :)
